Ringworm is caused by a skin fungus; the fungus is known to be extremely contagious and attacks any part of the body. The condition finds moist and worm parts of the body to be more appealing just like all other fungus types. Tea tree oil is gotten from the Melaleualternifolia plant. It is the leaves of this plant that are said to contain the oil. For a very longtime tea tree oil has been used to treat many conditions in man and among them are ringworms.

To process of treating ringworms with tea tree oil is a simple and easy one that requires one to follow simple steps. Armed with the right materials as pointed above one will need to begin with crating a solution that will be used to cleanse the areas affected by the worm. You will begin with mixing one and a half table spoon of tea tree oil with a cap of warm water. This mixing should be done is a bigger container like a bowl so that you get one well mixed solution.
It will work well if you can soak the affected area in the solution you have just mixed for about ten minutes. If you can’t soak a particular area use a cotton swab. Soak the swab in the solution and wipe it on the area affected with the ringworm. Do this until the area is completely soaked with the solution.
One you are sure that the solution has soaked up all the places affected by the ringworm. You can now remove it from the solution that is if you had soaked it. Alternatively just wipe skin dry with a cloth or towel. You will not need to rinse off the area with clean water or any other solution. You should however repeat the process above for 3 to 4 times a day until the time when you will not see any more signs of the ringworm on the skin.
For more effective treatment it is recommend that you combine tea tree soaking with other solutions. You can use tea tree oil with other normal antiseptics to be more protected from the infection of germs. One of the things you could do is mix your hand wash gel with tea tree oil. You then use the solution got to clean the affected area as often as you can.
